Welcome to our Email Services Page!

If your website is hosted with AWCS.net then email is a part of your hosting package. At AWCS.net we offer POP3 Mail (Outlook type), Web Mail, Web Based Email Administration and Mail forwarding.

POP3 and SMTP settings.

If you are using and email client such as Outlook or Outlook express some of the settings you will be asked in setting them up is the POP3 and SMTP servers. When you have email accounts with AWCS.net your POP3 setting will be mail.”insert your domain”.com for example mail.yourdomain.com. If you have multiple domains pointed to the same website and you’re not sure, give us call and we can tell you what your POP3 server is. Your SMTP server settings are usually the same, for example mail.yourdomain.com. In some cases your ISP will not allow you to send email through their servers for a different SMTP server. You might find that you can receive email fine but you cannot send email using our SMTP servers. In that case contact your ISP that you have your internet connection from and tell them you need to know what their SMTP server settings are. When asked for your “Account Name” or “Login” that is your email address and password assigned to your email account. To see how and where these setting are entered for Outlook and Outlook express please scroll down the page to see instructions and screen shots of how to enter them. We understand that this can be confusing to work through so feel free to contact us to help you . Many people ask what do those initials POP3 and SMTP stand for. The answers will surprise and hopefully amuse you. POP3 means, Plain Old Post Office Version 3. SMTP means, Simple Mail Transport Protocol.

Web Based Email.

You can access your email account two different ways. You can use and email client like Outlook or Outlook Express or you can access your email from any Internet Browser from anywhere in the world. This web based email service is similar to Yahoo Mail, Hot Mail or Gmail. All you need to do is go to www.awcsmail.net and then enter your email address and password. This makes it very convenient to check your mail when traveling or away from your home or office computer. All you need is a computer with and internet connection and a browser like Internet Explorer and you can check your mail.

Web Based Email Administration.

AWCS.net offers web based administration of your domain and email accounts. If your are the primary responsible person for you account with AWCS.net your email address will be setup as the Domain Administrator. This will allow you to setup and delete email accounts and change settings for your domain. As our standard of practice we only setup one domain administrator per account but you can have as many setup as you would like. To access our mail administration site please go to www.awcsmailadmin.net. Once you arrive at the page just enter your email address and password to make changes.

Even if you are not the domain administrator you can still use the email administration system to make changes to your email account. You can add aliases, forward your mail, add away messages and change your password to name some of the changes you can make to your email account.

Mail Forwarding.

If you have other email accounts that you currently use and don’t want to check and email account on our servers we can forward your mail to any other email account you would like. If your company has a corporate email system or uses and in-house or hosted Microsoft Exchange Server we can point your mail exchange records to it or directly forward all mail to your corporate servers. All we need is the IP address to forward your mail too.
